A teenager faces murder charges linked to a fatal shooting in Jamaica Plain last year

Jamaica Plain: So, there’s this 18-year-old named Jason Douglas from Quincy. He’s in some serious trouble, facing murder charges for a shooting that happened last year.
He’s set to appear in Suffolk Superior Court soon. The charges against him include murder, having a large capacity feeding device, and carrying a loaded gun without a license. Plus, he’s also in hot water for having illegal ammo.
Police got called out to 277 Centre Street near the Jackson Square MBTA station after folks reported hearing gunshots. When they arrived, they found a 19-year-old guy named Quami J. Clarke with gunshot wounds. Sadly, he didn’t make it and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Another guy, 19-year-old Edwin Vinales, was also arrested in connection with the shooting. Apparently, he tried to ditch a gun while running from the cops. When they caught him, they found another semi-automatic gun with a magazine that could hold more than ten rounds.
The investigation is still ongoing, so we’ll have to wait and see what else comes out of this. It’s a developing story, so keep an eye out for updates!
