Wichita Falls: A man named Kyandrae Chretien, 29, is now in the Wichita County Jail. He’s facing some heavy charges linked to the disappearance of a girl in 2023.

He was booked into jail on Tuesday and is being held without bail. Chretien has a whopping $600,000 in bonds for charges related to sexual assault and trafficking.

These charges are serious, all first-degree felonies. If convicted, he could be looking at life in prison. Remember, though, everyone is innocent until proven guilty in court.

The trouble started back on November 11, 2023, when a 12-year-old girl from Wichita Falls went missing. She was reported as a runaway from Harlan Lane. News of her disappearance spread quickly across Texas.

A police officer in Navasota spotted a car linked to Chretien’s grandmother. Thankfully, they found the girl safe inside that car and arrested Chretien.

Initially, he was taken to Grimes County Jail, facing additional charges like evading arrest and possession of a stolen firearm. It’s a tough situation for everyone involved.
