Bury: A local Asda is shaking things up with new opening hours as it gears up for a £2m makeover. The work kicks off this weekend, aiming to create a simpler layout and a more exciting shopping experience.

While the store on Pilsworth Road will stay open, some areas will close at different times for upgrades. This project will roll out over seven weeks, with the full launch set for March.

To accommodate the changes, the new hours are Monday from 7 am to 10 pm, Tuesday to Saturday from 6 am to 10 pm, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.

This is the biggest investment in an Asda store in years. A spokesperson mentioned that the focus is on improving the shopping experience for local families and making it as convenient as possible.

The upgrades will include new low-level fridges, better lighting, and a dedicated wines and spirits section. Staff will be available to help customers navigate the store, and clear signs will guide shoppers through any changes.
