A fast-moving storm is set to hit Central Indiana, bringing snow and frigid temperatures starting Sunday night into next week

The National Weather Service says we might see light snow mixed with some freezing drizzle, especially in areas north of Marion County. It’s going to be a chilly few days ahead.
By Tuesday, we could get up to an inch of snow across Central and Southern Indiana. And brace yourself for some seriously cold weather. Overnight lows could drop below zero, with wind chills making it feel like -15 degrees. Yikes!
So far this winter, Indianapolis has seen about 15.7 inches of snow, mostly from that big storm back in early January. Just this past Friday and Saturday, we got another 3.5 inches.
Southeastern Indiana has been hit even harder, with 22.4 inches recorded along the Ohio River. Meanwhile, South Bend, known for its lake effect snow, has only seen 14.8 inches this season.
It’s been a long stretch without temperatures hitting 32 degrees, but we finally made it there on Sunday after 222 hours. But don’t get too comfortable; another winter storm could be on the way next weekend, bringing more snow and even colder temps. Stay warm out there!
