Staten Island: A 25-year-old woman, Jasmin Thompson, turned herself in with her lawyer, Mario Gallucci, after a tragic incident. She’s facing a murder charge for the stabbing of Jennira Roundtree, a 43-year-old mom who was trying to protect her 12-year-old daughter during a fight.

The incident happened outside Roundtree’s apartment in the West Brighton Houses. Reports say there was a big brawl involving around 20 girls, mostly teens, and Thompson was one of the adults involved. Roundtree jumped in to defend her daughter but ended up getting stabbed multiple times in the chest.

After the attack, she was rushed to the hospital but sadly didn’t make it. Thompson has a history of arrests, mostly for assaults, and now she’s facing serious charges, including manslaughter and weapon possession.

Gallucci, known for representing high-profile cases, didn’t respond to calls for comments. This case has caught a lot of attention, and people are still in shock over what happened.
