St. John’s fought hard to overcome Georgetown, winning 63-58 and marking their fourth consecutive victory in a tough game.

They were missing their star point guard, Deivon Smith, and it showed. At one point, they were down by 14 points in both halves. Their shooting was off, hitting just 34.8% from the field.
But when it mattered most, St. John’s stepped up. They made crucial stops and scored key baskets in the final moments. This win puts them at 6-1 in league play, their best start since the late ’90s.
Luis had a solid game, and Aaron Scott contributed with 14 points and nine rebounds. Kadary Richmond also played a big role with 10 points and eight assists.
The first half was rough, though. They came out flat, missing a ton of shots and struggling on the boards. But after halftime, they turned it around with a 17-2 run that shifted the momentum.
In the end, they showed resilience, bouncing back to take the lead and hold on for the win. It’s a great sign for the team as they continue their season.
