A security guard was stabbed during a basketball game, but his injuries are not life-threatening, and the investigation is ongoing.

Skokie: A security guard got stabbed after a basketball game at Niles North High School. It was a game between the Vikings and the Wildkits, and things got out of hand.
Police showed up around 9:24 p.m. after hearing about a big disturbance. They found out that during the chaos, someone hit the guard with a sharp object.
Luckily, the guard was taken to the hospital and his injuries aren’t life-threatening. The Deputy Police Chief said he’s doing well.
Niles North is part of the Niles Township High School District, which confirmed that no students were hurt or arrested in this incident.
They’re working closely with the police on the investigation. Evanston Township High School also reassured families that their students were safe and not involved.
Police are still looking into what happened. They talked to people at the school but didn’t ask for help from other agencies.
By the way, the game ended in a nail-biter, with the Wildkits winning 68-64 after going into overtime.
