New York: Sheinelle Jones has been missing from ‘The Today Show’ lately, and she finally shared why. She posted on social media that she’s taking time off to handle a family health matter.

She expressed her gratitude to everyone who reached out while she was away. Jones said, “I want to share with you that I’m taking time to deal with a family health matter.”

She didn’t go into details about what’s going on but emphasized how lucky she feels to have the support of her colleagues and fans. “Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon,” she added.

Her co-hosts, Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, mentioned her absence during a recent broadcast, saying they miss her and hope to see her back soon.

Jones has been with NBC since 2014 and co-hosts the third hour of ‘The Today Show’ with Melvin and Dylan Dreyer. She even missed Hoda Kotb’s farewell, which was a big moment for the show.

Many of her colleagues showed their love and support in the comments on her Instagram post, with Guthrie saying, “We love you so. Not the same without you.” Kotb, who recently retired, also sent her love, reminding Jones that she’s family.

It’s clear that everyone is rooting for her during this tough time.
