Philadelphia: So, SEPTA had a bit of a hiccup recently. They announced that some student, senior, and reduced fare cards were acting up. You know, the ones you use on subways, buses, and Regional Rail? Yeah, those were getting declined.

But here’s the silver lining: if you’re using a regular SEPTA Key card or paying with a credit card, debit card, or even Apple and Google Pay, you’re all good. No disruptions for you! They’ve told cashiers and operators to let folks ride without any hassle while they sort things out with the card manufacturer.

The problem seems to be that some cards got the wrong expiration dates. Oops! They’re on it, though, and keeping everyone updated.

On a brighter note, SEPTA is also rolling out new signs for their routes, which is pretty cool. They shared a sneak peek on social media.

This comes after a busy fall for them, where they dodged a strike and got some help from Governor Josh Shapiro to fix a funding issue. Plus, they recently updated their smartphone app, but it’s been getting mixed reviews. Just another day in the life of public transit!
