Tatum O’Neal shares her heartbreak over the loss of her father’s Malibu home in the devastating LA fires

Los Angeles: Tatum O’Neal has shared some heartbreaking news. Her dad Ryan O’Neal’s Malibu home, where he lived with Farrah Fawcett, has been destroyed in the recent wildfires.
She expressed her sadness on Threads, saying, “It’s the saddest ever so sad I could cry. My father’s house is gone Malibu gone.” It’s tough to hear that kind of loss.
Tatum, who starred with Ryan in “Paper Moon,” was clearly shaken. She followed up with more posts, saying, “Gone gone gone gone. It’s so scary. I am so freaking sad.”
This tragedy comes just two years after Ryan passed away from heart failure at 82. Farrah, who he shared many years with, died in 2009 after battling cancer.
Even though they never married, Ryan and Farrah had a long, complicated relationship. They spent many years together in that beautiful beachfront home.
After Ryan’s death, it was reported that he left behind a $30 million estate, which included the Malibu home he bought for just $151,000 back in 1976.
Tatum’s relationship with her dad wasn’t always easy. They were estranged for about 20 years but reconciled after Farrah’s passing.
They even starred in a reality show together in 2011, showing their ups and downs. Tatum also wrote a memoir where she talked about their rocky relationship but made it clear she loved him.
Sadly, Ryan’s home is just one of many that have been lost in the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. The situation is dire, with many people still missing and thousands evacuated.
As of now, the death toll has risen to 24, with many still unaccounted for. It’s a tough time for everyone affected by these fires.
