Manchester: So, it looks like Manchester United is about to make a big move. They’re closing in on their first signing under Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese manager stepped in last November and has been working to get things back on track after Erik ten Hag’s departure.

The player in question is left-back Diego Leon. He’s almost officially a Red Devil, but there’s a catch—he won’t be able to join until he turns 18 in April.

Just last week, he was seen heading to England to take care of his medical tests, and now it seems he’s passed them. This means the deal is nearly done!

United seems to have beaten out some stiff competition from top European clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City, who were also interested in the young talent. According to Paraguayan journalist Daniel Maciel, Leon’s medical was a success, and the transfer fee is around £6 million, including add-ons.

It’s likely that Leon will head back to his current club on loan for a bit before making the full move to England in the summer. He’s also been called up to represent Paraguay in the South American Under-20 Championship coming up soon.

Before leaving South America, Leon mentioned he’d be back in Paraguay shortly and even started learning English to prepare for his new adventure. Exciting times ahead!
