Rep. Lee Votes Against Trans Bill While Opposing Trans Athletes in Girls’ Sports

Rep. Susie Lee from Nevada voted against the bill, but she made it clear that she doesn’t support trans athletes competing in girls’ and women’s sports. She mentioned her background as a swimmer and expressed concerns about fairness and safety.

Lee stated that while she thinks organizations like the NCAA have been slow to update their policies, she believes Congress shouldn’t impose a nationwide ban. She called it “government overreach” and warned it could lead to invasive examinations and personal attacks based on appearance.
