Brick, N.J.: It’s wild how some folks are still holding onto hope after everything. They think we can just get through these four years and return to normal. But history shows us that leaders who manipulate democracy rarely give up power willingly. Just look at Mussolini and Hitler; they came to power in democratic countries too!

A lot of people are worried that Trump’s comments, like saying voters won’t need to vote again if he wins, hint at a dangerous future. His supporters see him as a savior, but they twist his words to make them sound better. It’s like they ignore the real meaning behind what he says.

Once he’s in office, it feels like there won’t be any real opposition. His desire for power seems limitless, and he’s even involving his family in his plans. It’s like he’s trying to create a dynasty!

Manhattan: I get why the judge didn’t send Trump to jail this time, but it’s frustrating. He should face consequences for his actions, especially for that false tax filing. If he’s so wealthy, why not hit him with a fine? That money could help with the trial costs.

Manhattan: The Constitution doesn’t say a president can’t be prosecuted while running for office. Even if the Supreme Court says a sitting president can’t be charged for official acts, that doesn’t protect a president-elect. It feels like there’s a double standard in our justice system, where the rich get away with more than others.

Manhattan: After hearing about Trump’s sentencing, I thought, “No community service?” It’s funny how he’s always golfing. Maybe he should spend those days doing community service instead. It’s not like he’s ever done anything for the community.

Brooklyn: To the guy who thinks Trump won because of sexism and racism, you’re spot on. It’s not about his court cases; it’s about the deep-rooted issues in our society. People voted for him over experienced candidates like Hillary and Kamala.

Oak Ridge, N.J.: Trump, we need your help with our sports teams! The MSG situation is a mess, and we’re counting on you to fix it. Seriously, we’re feeling abandoned here.

Greenville, S.C.: I was sad to hear about Jimmy Carter passing away. He had his flaws, but he did some good things. His presidency wasn’t great, but it led to a GOP comeback. Let’s hope Trump can do better for the economy if he gets a second term.

Brooklyn: After that awful school incident in Wisconsin, we need better information about schools in our areas. Knowing who’s there and if there are any issues could help prevent future tragedies.

Bronx: It’s heartbreaking to see the devastation in California, yet the news is filled with nonsense. I’m done with this tabloid garbage and canceled my subscription after years of reading.

Bronx: As a former healthcare worker in a psychiatric hospital, I think it’s time to admit that closing those facilities was a mistake. Many patients ended up on the streets without care. We need to bring back involuntary commitments and train more professionals.

Jamaica: Some people are overlooking the horrors that happened in Israel on October 7. Families were brutally attacked, and there are reports of horrific acts committed by Hamas. We can’t ignore these atrocities.

Manhattan: On a lighter note, if the reporter who wrote about the cat owner married the subject, her name would be JoNel Journell. Just a funny thought!
