Arcata, Calif.: So, there’s a lot of chatter about Pete Hegseth, right? People are really fired up about him being nominated for Secretary of Defense. I mean, come on, the guy has a pretty sketchy past. His own mom even called him an abuser of women in an email. That’s not exactly a glowing recommendation, is it?

And then there’s his history of being a total jerk to women and his drinking problems. Plus, he’s made some seriously racist comments. Like, who thinks it’s okay to shout “Kill all Muslims” in a bar? It’s wild to think he could be in such a powerful position.

Then we have folks from Rockaway Point who are watching the Senate hearings and are just disgusted. They see right through his lies and think he’s got a real problem with women. It’s a mess, and they’re hoping he doesn’t get confirmed.

In Brooklyn, some people are just appalled at anyone who’s going to show up for Trump’s inauguration. They feel like it’s a slap in the face to the country. It’s like, how can you support someone who’s been accused of so much?
