The Rangers welcomed back Chris Kreider and Filip Chytil, boosting their lineup for a tough game against the Avalanche.

Coach Peter Laviolette was pleased with their performance, saying they brought good energy to the game. Kreider and Chytil skated together with Arthur Kaliyev, and Laviolette noted that it was great to have them back on the ice.
Chytil has had a tough time with injuries over his eight years in the NHL. He missed a lot of last season due to concussions and has had to be patient with his recovery. He expressed how frustrating it is to watch his team play from the sidelines but feels stronger mentally after everything he’s been through.
He clarified that his current issue isn’t concussion-related but is more complicated. Chytil had just over nine minutes of ice time in the previous game against the Stars before missing the last two.
The team had to adapt quickly to changes in the lineup due to Chytil’s fluctuating status. Meanwhile, Sam Carrick scored a shorthanded goal, showcasing the Rangers’ resilience.
Looking ahead, the Rangers will practice in Utah before facing the Utah Hockey Club on Thursday night.
