GLENDALE: The Los Angeles Rams had to switch things up for their wild-card playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings. They played at State Farm Stadium, which is about 700 miles from their usual home in LA. This change happened because of some serious wildfires back in California.

The NFL made the call to move the game just a few days before. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell mentioned that they have plans for situations like this, and Arizona was a great fit for the Rams’ fans. It was impressive to see around 45,000 fans make the trip to support their team.

Before the game, the parking lot was buzzing with Rams fans tailgating and having a good time. The stadium was decked out in Rams colors, and fans were welcomed with towels. There were also banners thanking firefighters and first responders, showing the community spirit.

At kickoff, State Farm Stadium was nearly full, with a capacity of over 63,000. Rams running back Kyren Williams said the team wanted to bring hope to LA fans during tough times. While moving games isn’t common in the NFL, it has happened before, especially in Arizona.
