Jared Verse recounts his experience with Eagles fans after the Rams’ playoff defeat
Before the game, he had stirred things up by saying he hated Eagles fans, which didn’t sit well with the Philly crowd. They were ready for him when he arrived at Lincoln Financial Field.
Verse mentioned that he was all bundled up in a ski mask and hoodie, but once he took it off, the boos came pouring in. He expected it, though, and even found it amusing. He said, “That’s what I expected. I can’t be mad about it.”
He also had a little back-and-forth with Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter before the game, but the details of that chat are still a mystery.
Despite the hostile environment, Verse said he thrives in such situations. He loves the energy and it only pumps him up more. He even took some playful jabs at the Eagles fans, saying he gets genuinely upset when he sees their colors.
After the game, he reflected on the loss and expressed a desire to never feel that way again. He acknowledged that the Eagles fans earned his respect, even if he can’t speak for all of them.
Next up, the Eagles are set to host the Commanders in the NFC Championship game, so it looks like the rivalry will continue!
