Los Angeles: A pickup truck driver was caught on video grinning after allegedly cutting off an elderly woman in a long line of cars waiting to return home during the Palisades Fire.

Nick Clark, a creative director from LA, shared the video on Instagram, showing him confronting the driver of a silver Chevy Silverado. He approached the driver, pointing out his reckless behavior.

The driver, initially silent, eventually responded with a smirk, saying, “Good luck,” when Clark mentioned the police were watching. Clark sarcastically wished him a “wonderful day” in return.

Clark pressed the driver for his name, mentioning his YouTube following, but the driver dismissed him, saying, “You’ve never cut anybody off in LA?” Clark shot back, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.

He accused the driver of being “rich” and an “asshole” before the video ended. In his post, Clark explained that the driver tried to cut off an elderly woman while she was looking for her son after waiting for hours.

Clark noted that he had already called out the driver before filming and pointed him out to the police. He expressed disappointment in humanity, questioning where the driver learned such selfishness.

Clark also asked for help identifying the driver. Meanwhile, evacuation orders remained for about 150,000 people in the county, with many seeking refuge in shelters.

The ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles have tragically claimed 24 lives, with many still missing, marking a devastating chapter in the area’s history.
