California: Pennsylvania Western University just started building a new science center at its California campus. This is a big deal for the school!

They had a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, which is always exciting. The new California Science Center will be huge, covering 63,500 square feet when it’s done, expected by early 2027.

This new building will focus on subjects like biology, chemistry, and physics. It’s replacing two older buildings, Frich Hall and New Science Hall, which have been around since the ’50s and ’70s. Once the new center is ready, those old buildings will be torn down, making way for some nice green spaces for students to hang out.

The whole project is going to cost $39 million, and it’s being funded by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services. Pretty cool, right?
