Senator John Fetterman shows willingness to back certain Trump nominees, including Agriculture Secretary.
Pennsylvania: So, it looks like Senator John Fetterman is open to supporting some of Donald Trump’s cabinet picks. He recently mentioned that he’s likely to vote for Brooke Rollins, Trump’s nominee for Agriculture Secretary. Fetterman met her and feels she has a solid background, even if they don’t see eye to eye on everything.
He’s not expecting any big drama during her confirmation hearings and is eager to collaborate on the next farm bill. Fetterman is also on several committees that will review other Trump nominees, so he’s got a busy schedule ahead.
On the flip side, Senator Dave McCormick, who just took office, is also meeting with Trump’s nominees. He’s focused on the ones that will come before his committees, like the energy and interior secretaries. McCormick believes Trump’s picks will bring the change that many voters want.
