Orford: A band called The Bemonts just dropped their first single, and they’re buzzing about it! They’re set to kick off the Neighbourhood Weekender later this year.

These guys formed about two and a half years ago and are made up of four friends. Dave and Adam, both 42, met back in school at Beamont Collegiate Academy.

They decided to turn their passion for music into something real, teaming up with Glenn, 32, and Liam, 25, to create an Americana-rock vibe.

Since then, they’ve been busy playing at various gigs, including the Warrington Music Festival. Last year, they even campaigned to perform at Neighbourhood Weekender.

And guess what? Their hard work paid off! They’ll be opening the Viola Beach stage, which is a huge deal for them.

“We’re beyond excited to be opening such a massive festival,” Glenn, the lead guitarist, shared. “It’s an incredible opportunity, and we’re so grateful to our fans for supporting us this far.”

To get ready for the festival, they’ve just released their first official single called Borderline. Glenn mentioned that this release is a big moment for them.

He said it combines their unique sound with a raw emotional depth, hoping it resonates with listeners everywhere. The song touches on themes of loss but is open to interpretation.

“It’s about the complex feelings of a broken relationship, mixing heartache, uncertainty, and hope,” Glenn explained. “While it’s personal for us, we wanted to create something everyone could connect with.”

Borderline is now available on all major streaming platforms, so be sure to check it out!
