Orange County Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Rape of 13-Year-Old Girl

Ocoee: A 13-year-old girl showed incredible courage after being kidnapped on her way to school. She provided key details that led to the arrest of a man in Orange County.

Luis Manuel Frias Jr., 41, was taken into custody on several serious charges, including kidnapping and sexual battery. He’s currently in the Orange County Jail.

The sheriff’s office praised the victim for her bravery, which helped detectives identify Frias quickly.

On Monday morning, Frias allegedly lured the girl into his car by offering her a ride. He drove her to an empty house nearby, where he assaulted her.

The girl was understandably scared and begged him not to hurt her. After the assault, he dropped her off and warned her to keep quiet.

Later that day, deputies spoke with her and created a sketch based on her description of Frias. They used cell phone data and surveillance footage to track him down.

The sheriff’s office is worried there might be more victims and is asking the community to come forward with any information.
