Omar Marmoush’s impressive performance raises eyebrows as City falters at Brentford

City’s been chatting with Frankfurt about bringing Marmoush on board in January, but Frankfurt wants a hefty €80 million. City hopes to negotiate that down to around £60 million. Until then, Marmoush is still doing his thing at Frankfurt.
He’s been on fire lately, with 20 goals and 14 assists in just 26 games this season. That’s a goal involvement every 57 minutes! For comparison, Erling Haaland is contributing at almost double that rate.
With all the transfer talk, people are wondering if each game could be Marmoush’s last for Frankfurt. But he’s not letting it get to him. His teammate Robin Koch said he’s been fully focused and giving it his all.
On the flip side, City’s Kyle Walker has been left out of the squad lately after asking to leave. Pep Guardiola mentioned that his mindset was a factor in that decision.
Frankfurt’s manager, Dino Toppmoller, praised Marmoush for staying professional despite the rumors. The sporting director also highlighted his great attitude. If City can strike a deal, they can expect Marmoush to hit the ground running.
