The NYPD is on the lookout for a unique robber who makes victims haggle over what he’ll steal

Since early November, he’s hit up 11 victims in Brooklyn and Queens. Most of them are Hispanic men, aged 20 to 40, who are just trying to get home from work late at night.
Deputy Chief John Mastronardi mentioned that this guy has a weird way of doing things. He actually negotiates with his victims in both English and Spanish. Instead of just taking what they offer, he says things like, “No, no, no, I don’t want that, I want that.” It’s like he’s making a game out of it.
He seems to be after cash and electronics, and he usually rolls up on a blue or dark scooter. He threatens people with a knife and takes their jewelry, phones, and whatever else he can grab.
His latest attack on December 10 was particularly bold. He even put a knife to one victim’s throat. Thankfully, none of the victims have been hurt so far.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any tips that lead to his capture. So if you know anything, don’t hesitate to reach out!
