New York: A 35-year-old guy named Felix Baez Munoz just got nearly four years in prison for trafficking cocaine. He was shipping it from Puerto Rico to places in Massachusetts and Rhode Island using the U.S. Postal Service.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges back in September 2024. Prosecutors say he was part of a group that sent out tons of cocaine hidden in everyday items like air fryers. Can you believe that?

The feds started looking into this drug ring in early 2020. They found out that from February 2020 to May 2021, they moved between 10 and 20 kilograms of cocaine from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico, and then to Massachusetts.

Things got serious when federal agents caught Baez Munoz in May 2020 while he was driving from Massachusetts to New York. They found almost $390,000 in his bag, which they suspected was drug money.

In May 2021, he was one of nine people charged in this big drug conspiracy. After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 46 months in prison and will have three years of supervised release afterward.

Another guy, Patrick Joseph, who was the “manager” of this operation, also pleaded guilty and got over 11 years in prison. What a mess!
