New York: A guy named Felix Baez Munoz just got nearly four years in prison for shipping cocaine. He was using the U.S. Postal Service to send it from Puerto Rico to places in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges back in September 2024. Prosecutors say he was part of a group that sent out a bunch of packages filled with kilos of cocaine, hiding it in everyday items like air fryers.

The feds started looking into this drug ring in early 2020. Between February 2020 and May 2021, they moved around 10 to 20 kilograms of cocaine from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico, and then to Massachusetts through the mail.

Baez Munoz got caught in May 2020 when he was driving from Massachusetts to New York. They found almost $390,000 in his bag, which they suspected was drug money.

In May 2021, he was one of nine people charged in this big drug trafficking case. After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 46 months in prison and will have three years of supervised release after that.

Another guy, Patrick Joseph, who was the manager of this operation, also pleaded guilty and got over 11 years in prison back in March 2024.
