Authorities have charged two individuals following a devastating explosion at townhomes in northeast Calgary last year
Emergency crews rushed in around 11 p.m. on October 5 when they got reports of a fire. Turns out, the explosion in one of the townhomes sparked a blaze that spread to nearby homes. Four residences were completely destroyed, and six people ended up in the hospital.
Investigators believe a man and a woman intentionally set the fire using some kind of accelerant. Recently, they laid more charges against a 40-year-old man named Gavin Peter Robinson. He’s facing charges for arson and having incendiary materials. He was already in hot water for another arson charge related to endangering lives.
They also charged a 43-year-old woman, Rose-Anne Nelson-Robinson, with the same offenses. Both are set to appear in court in Calgary this coming February. If anyone has more info, they should reach out to the police at 403-266-1234 or send tips to CrimeStoppers anonymously.
