Governor Joe Lombardo has amassed $3.4 million for his re-election campaign, showcasing strong financial support ahead of the 2026 election.

Las Vegas: So, Governor Joe Lombardo has really been busy raising funds. He pulled in nearly $3.4 million over the past year for his re-election campaign. That’s a hefty amount, right?
He’s also got about $5.5 million in cash ready to go as he gears up for the next legislative session and his 2026 re-election push. His political action committee, Nevada Way PAC, is sitting on around $3 million too. Pretty impressive for a sitting governor!
To give you some context, when former governor Steve Sisolak was in this position back in 2020, he raised $2.4 million and had $4.5 million on hand. Lombardo’s numbers are looking strong.
He filed his campaign finance reports just before his second State of the State address, which is like the unofficial start of his re-election campaign. It’s a great chance for him to highlight what he’s done so far and lay out his plans for the upcoming session starting on February 3.
Interestingly, a lot of support is coming from the resort industry. Contributions have rolled in from big names like MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, and others. It’s clear they’re backing him.
Now, PACs can take in donations up to $100,000, while individual candidates are capped at $10,000. In the last quarter of 2024, Nevada Way PAC got some big donations from various sources, including a $7,500 contribution from Warner Bros. Discovery, which is looking to expand Nevada’s film tax credit program.
Annual campaign finance disclosures are due soon, and other lawmakers, especially Democrats, are expected to file their reports as well. Speaking of Democrats, Attorney General Aaron Ford is likely to run for governor in 2026, but he hasn’t filed a report yet.
