Omaha: So, it looks like some Dunkin’ stores are running low on doughnuts lately. Customers in places like Nebraska, New Mexico, and Arizona have been showing up only to find empty cases.

There are signs at these stores explaining the situation. One in West Omaha said, “Due to a donut manufacturing error, we currently do not have your favorite donuts at this time.” They even suggested munchkins as a substitute.

Employees in Albuquerque confirmed the shortage, mentioning that delivery trucks were coming up short on doughnuts. A Reddit user also shared their experience of finding no doughnuts at their local Dunkin’.

Interestingly, while folks are joking about the situation online, it seems Boston, the hometown of Ben Affleck, isn’t facing any shortages.

A spokesperson for Inspire Brands mentioned that the issue stems from a single supplier affecting several states, but they didn’t disclose which one. Some franchise owners in Nebraska said they received subpar shipments and refused to serve those donuts.

Dunkin’ is still looking into the problem, estimating that about 4% of their stores are affected. However, they later clarified that only 2% are still dealing with the shortage and are working hard to restock.
