Jairo Saenz, known as ‘Funny,’ received a 60-year sentence for his role in seven murders, including the killings of two teenage girls.
He’s part of that notorious MS-13 gang and was involved in some really brutal stuff dating back to 2016. One of the worst things he did was order the killings of two high school girls, Kayla and Nisa, who were just 16 and 15. They were killed because the gang thought they disrespected them online.
Their families were in court, and you could feel the pain. Nisa’s mom, Elizabeth, said she came to see the guy who took her daughter away forever. It’s heartbreaking. Saenz, who’s only 28, has been in trouble with the law for a while now, and his brother is also facing serious charges.
He admitted to a string of murders, including one guy who wore a jersey that the gang thought meant he was from a rival group. It’s just a mess. The acting U.S. Attorney called the murders “barbaric” and said they turned parts of Long Island into a war zone.
Even with all this, Saenz couldn’t stop smiling in court, which just adds to the horror of it all. Families are still mourning, and it’s hard to see how someone can be so callous. It’s a tough situation for everyone involved, and you can only hope the families find some peace after all this.
