New York: People are going wild for this art installation called MoonGARDEN at South Street Seaport. It’s so eye-catching that even the freezing cold can’t keep folks away.

Picture this: 14 glowing orbs that change colors and cast cool shadows. It’s like stepping into a dream! Visitors can even see these shadowy creatures called “Abyss Walkers” peeking out from the biggest orb.

One guy, Lou Morales, said he couldn’t resist checking it out after hearing the music and seeing the lights. He usually walks by without stopping, but this time was different. He loved the peaceful vibe amidst the city chaos.

Even with temperatures dropping to 20 degrees, people were flocking to see the show. They wandered through the colorful orbs, mesmerized by the light and sound.

At the center, there’s a huge 20-foot orb with portholes where you can peek inside and see the Abyss Walkers. These creatures are made with some cool mechanical elements, giving them a unique look.

Visitors can even join in the fun by “painting” the orbs with their phone flashlights. How cool is that? Three of the orbs remember the light patterns for a bit, making it even more interactive.

Cherry Almedino found out about MoonGARDEN on social media and had to see it for herself. She and her boyfriend were drawn in by the lights and the fact that it’s free—something rare in the city!

Right Hudson, a local dad, noticed more people stopping to appreciate the art since it opened in late November. He loves the soft music that goes along with the visuals, saying it makes the experience even better.

Some locals, like Hannah and Stuart Bryson, enjoy the installation but admit the music doesn’t hold their attention after a while. They’ve been visiting daily and appreciate it more than past displays.

Casey Warren and her fiancé were just passing by when they spotted the glowing orbs. Coming from a small town, they were thrilled to see something so unique and beautiful.

MoonGARDEN will be around until February, so if you’re in the area, don’t miss it! It’s a delightful escape from the usual hustle and bustle of city life.
