A Montclair teacher was arrested after making threats against the principal, prompting school closures and police involvement.

Montclair: A teacher in New Jersey is in hot water after allegedly threatening his principal. Amir Doctry, 45, sent some pretty alarming messages that got everyone worried.
He was already on leave when he started posting things like “DIE TONIGHT” about Principal Joseph Putrino. It was serious enough that the school district had to close down for a day.
Doctry was tracked down in Philadelphia and arrested after local police got wind of his bizarre social media posts. He’s facing charges for making terroristic threats.
After his arrest, he was placed in a psychiatric hold. The school reopened the next day, but the community was understandably shaken up.
Putrino had noticed some odd behavior from Doctry before, like when he showed up at school despite being barred from it. He even sent Putrino strange texts claiming he was the new boss.
One of the texts included a photo of Denzel Washington with a gun, which raised even more alarms. The principal reported all this to the police, leading to the swift action.
Local authorities assured everyone that there was no ongoing threat, but they increased patrols around the schools just to be safe. A friend of Doctry said this behavior was totally out of character for him, leaving many in shock.
