The Midland Vet Center has moved to a new site, inviting the public to an open house to explore services and meet the team.
They’re hosting an open house on January 29 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It’s a great chance for everyone to check out the new place, learn about the services offered, and meet the friendly staff. Plus, there will be refreshments and a short dedication ceremony at 4 p.m.
The Vet Center, run by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, provides confidential support at no cost. They help with issues like depression, PTSD, and the effects of military sexual trauma. They also connect folks with additional resources in the community.
Artley F. Edwards, the center’s director, expressed excitement about the move, saying they look forward to serving current clients and welcoming new ones to a safe and healing environment.
With over 300 Vet Centers across the country, veterans can find help anytime. If someone is in crisis, they can reach out to the Veterans Crisis Line at 988, then press 1, or text 838255 for support.
