Washington: So, Michelle Obama is skipping Donald Trump’s inauguration next Monday. She also missed Jimmy Carter’s funeral last week, which is kind of a big deal since she would have been sitting next to Trump.

The Obamas’ office confirmed that while Barack will be there, Michelle won’t. They didn’t say why she’s not going, but we all know she hasn’t been shy about her feelings toward Trump over the years.

Last week, she was supposed to be at Carter’s funeral but decided to stay in Hawaii instead. Her team said it was a scheduling issue, but it seems a bit fishy, right?

Barack was at the funeral and even shared some laughs with Trump, which got a lot of attention. All the other former presidents and their spouses are expected to show up for the inauguration, including the Bushes and the Clintons.

Interestingly, both Michelle and Barack attended Trump’s first inauguration back in 2017. But during the recent campaign, Michelle was pretty vocal against him, especially while supporting Kamala Harris.

She’s made some strong comments about Trump’s attitude towards women and minorities, urging men to support Harris. It’s clear she’s not holding back her thoughts.

Oh, and let’s not forget that Donald and Melania Trump skipped Biden’s inauguration in 2021, claiming the election was stolen. It’s all a bit of a political soap opera, isn’t it?
