Matthew Fitzpatrick is leaving McKinsey to become CEO of Invisible Technologies, focusing on AI solutions
During his time there, he helped companies ramp up their AI projects and even developed some cool tools like Kedro, which has been a hit in the analytics world. Now, he’s off to a company that’s been flying under the radar but is valued at a whopping $500 million.
Invisible Technologies is all about AI training, helping businesses get their models up and running. Fitzpatrick believes they can really help companies tackle the tricky parts of integrating AI into their work. He pointed out that most AI models don’t even make it to production because companies struggle with the know-how.
He met the founder of Invisible, Francis Pedraza, through some networking and was impressed by the company’s low-key but crucial role in AI model training. Fitzpatrick is excited about the demand for their services but knows they need to grow carefully to maintain quality.
A former colleague mentioned that Fitzpatrick really changed the game at McKinsey by bringing in more tech-savvy talent. He helped integrate people with strong technical skills into a firm that traditionally focused on a different kind of talent. It sounds like he’s ready to take on this new challenge and make a big impact in the AI space!
