Maui County has officially named Erin Wade as its new deputy managing director, effective January 2
Maui: Erin Wade was sworn in as the new deputy managing director on January 2. She brings over 20 years of experience in urban planning and municipal leadership. Wade has held significant roles in the county’s Planning and Management departments and previously worked in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Mayor Richard Bissen praised her leadership and commitment to public service, emphasizing her expertise in federal compliance and community-focused planning. Wade’s recent role involved collaboration with FEMA and other agencies to aid in recovery efforts for Lahaina.
In other news, the Hawaii Police Department is hosting its first Keiki Fun Run/Walk in Kona this Saturday. Registration starts at 7 a.m., and the event aims to promote health and community engagement.
