Manchester United aims for a Premier League win against Southampton after recent cup success
United has been on a roll against the Saints, remaining unbeaten in their last 16 matchups. They just edged past Arsenal in a thrilling penalty shootout, which was a nice boost after drawing with Liverpool.
However, they haven’t won in the Premier League for a while, with three losses in their last four games. They last celebrated a league victory against Manchester City almost five weeks ago.
Coach Ruben Amorim is keen to keep the momentum going, especially against a struggling Southampton side that has only managed one league win this season.
In terms of team news, defender Diogo Dalot is out due to suspension after his red card against Arsenal. Harry Maguire’s fitness is still up in the air, so they’ll have to wait and see if he can play.
