To figure out the happiest places, they created a ‘happiness index’ based on sunlight hours in winter and each destination’s World Happiness Score.
Spain scored high with an average of 11 sunlight hours in winter, a World Happiness Score of 6.42, and an overall index score of 97.1. It’s no wonder Brits love visiting for its stunning beaches, tasty food, and fantastic weather.
Sicily came in second, known for its beautiful scenery and delicious cuisine. France was third, but you’ll want to head south for the best winter weather.
