Manchester United faces scrutiny as a potential ban for Manuel Ugarte looms after a controversial incident during the FA Cup match against Arsenal

The game started slow, but things heated up in the second half. United scored first with Bruno Fernandes, but then Gabriel Magalhaes equalized after Diogo Dalot got sent off. The tension peaked when Harry Maguire was called for a foul on Havertz in the box, leading to a penalty.
This sparked a big confrontation, and during the chaos, Ugarte seemed to headbutt Havertz. Surprisingly, no penalty was given, and VAR wasn’t in play.
In his column for the Daily Telegraph, Hackett expressed that Ugarte could face a retrospective ban from the FA. He recalled his own experiences with similar confrontations and mentioned that the FA would likely investigate both teams for not controlling their players.
Hackett believes the headbutt was clear and should have been addressed. He expects the FA to reach out to match officials for their reports by Monday morning. If the officials didn’t see the headbutt, it could lead to Ugarte being charged later, along with both teams.
However, the FA has since stated that no further disciplinary action will be taken against Manchester United following the match at Emirates Stadium.
