Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Conrad Harder, a teammate of Viktor Gyokeres, following a recent scouting mission.
Gyokeres was in the spotlight for a potential move to Old Trafford, but those talks have cooled down. Ruben Amorim, the coach, made it clear that his former players wouldn’t be joining this window.
Now, Gyokeres has a gentleman’s agreement with Sporting to leave for around £58.6m to £62.8m. Meanwhile, Harder is making waves in Portugal after moving from Nordsjaelland last summer.
At just 19, he can play in various positions, which makes him an attractive option for clubs. His asking price of €35 million (£29m) is a lot easier for United to handle compared to Gyokeres.
Sporting sees him as a future star, but a good offer might make them reconsider. However, the Manchester Evening News mentioned that United needs to offload some players before making any moves this month.
On another note, reports say that United and Arsenal had scouts at the Taca da Liga to check out Alvaro Carreras. He’s been a regular starter since joining the Portuguese team last January.
United has a £25m buyback clause for him, which could mean he might return to Old Trafford soon. Plus, Liverpool and Real Madrid have shown interest in him too, while Bayern Munich is also in the mix, especially with rumors about Alphonso Davies possibly leaving.
