A man was shot in Fort Worth after a struggle with a friend while fleeing police following a violent incident outside a bar.
The police got a call just before 10 p.m. about two guys who were turned away at the door. They ended up firing shots at some folks outside as they drove by. Not cool, right?
Things escalated when they crashed into a parked car and then shot at off-duty officers who were working security. Luckily, the cops didn’t fire back.
After a chase, the police managed to stop their car with spike strips. They arrested both guys without any more drama. Turns out, the driver had a bunch of warrants, and the passenger is facing some serious charges for assaulting a public servant.
One of them got shot in the arm, but thankfully, it wasn’t life-threatening. They think it happened during a scuffle between the two of them in the car.
No one else got hurt, but one officer did need some medical help after dealing with the spike strips. The Gun Violence Unit is on the case now, trying to figure out all the details.
