Des Moines: A man named Cori Jayvon Shields, who had been wanted for nearly ten months, was finally caught. He was linked to two shootings that happened after he left the Pura Social Club in East Village.

Shields, 26, was taken into custody on January 10 and is now in Polk County Jail. His bond is set at $100,000. The details of his arrest are still a bit unclear.

Witnesses say Shields shot two people, Michael Goodson and Tabitha Williams, early on March 24. The incident occurred near the 600 block of East Fifth Street. It seems Shields got involved after a family member was seen on video hitting a woman.

When Goodson approached the scene, Shields started firing. Goodson was hit in the throat and stomach, while Williams was shot in the stomach too. Both were rushed to the hospital.

Shields was spotted on surveillance cameras wearing a distinctive red jacket with white sleeves and red pants. He was also seen leaving an apartment building before heading to Pura. Video evidence and phone records placed him at the scene during the shootings.

After the chaos, he took off running south.
