Butler County: So, there was this wild chase on Saturday afternoon. A stolen semitruck got the cops all riled up, and they were chasing it through Butler and Preble County.

Sheriff Richard Jones even shared a video on X, showing how it all went down. The chase kicked off around 12:47 p.m. and ended with the arrest of 37-year-old Joseph Allen Horton.

He’s facing some serious charges, including failure to comply and receiving stolen property. Apparently, C-Jams Trucking Company realized one of their trucks was missing and started tracking it.

They found it exiting Interstate 75 near Middletown, which is where the pursuit began. Horton didn’t make it easy for the cops, tossing hammers and tools out of the window as he drove.

The chase finally wrapped up after the semitruck hit some stop sticks, causing it to veer off the road in Hamilton. It lasted almost an hour and a half!

Right now, all of Horton’s charges are from Butler County, but more could be coming from Middletown, Trenton, and Preble County.
