A man was arrested for allegedly stealing from three stores in Apple Valley within an hour, causing quite a stir.

It all kicked off around 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday when Old Navy staff reported that a man had stolen some items. Then, just 16 minutes later, Ross called in to say someone had left without paying too. The descriptions matched, so it was clear they were dealing with the same person.
Things escalated when Target reported a similar incident at 3:35 p.m. Employees said the guy had opened and drank alcohol inside the store before making a run for it through an emergency exit.
After causing a ruckus at a couple of fast food joints nearby, deputies finally caught up with 36-year-old Oscar Aguirre. He was booked for petty theft, public intoxication, and disturbing the peace. His bail was set at $30,000 while he waits for court.
Thanks to Prop. 36, which California voters passed, these kinds of offenses can lead to tougher penalties now. So, instead of just getting a ticket and being let go, offenders might face more serious consequences.
