Louisville: This week is going to be a chilly one. We’re looking at single-digit temps and teens, but no major snowstorms are on the horizon.

The cold front is keeping things below freezing until Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. There’s a chance of a light dusting of snow on Tuesday, but Indiana might see more than we do.

On Tuesday, the wind chill could make it feel as cold as 2 degrees. Yikes! The air temperature might drop to around 6 degrees that night. And it looks like those frigid wind chills will stick around into Wednesday morning.

But hang tight! We might get a break from the cold by Thursday, with highs reaching about 38 degrees. Friday and Saturday could even see temps in the 40s.

While there’s no big snow threat in Louisville through Friday, the Climate Prediction Center says we’re under a “slight risk” for heavy snow from Saturday to Monday. It’s tough to say how much snow we’ll actually get, as the weather models are all over the place.

Some models predict just rain for us Friday night into Saturday, while others suggest we could see snow later on. It’s a bit of a wait-and-see situation!

So, as you head out this week, bundle up and stay warm!
