Light Snow in Mountains, Wind Over Plains Makes for Chilly Conditions

Denver: So, here’s the scoop. Colorado’s mountains are getting a little sprinkle of snow this Sunday and Monday. The National Weather Service says it’s mostly light stuff, though.

Most areas in the mountains won’t see more than an inch of snow. But a few peaks, like Mount Zirkel and Expectation Mountain, might get lucky with up to 2 inches.

Now, if you’re driving in the mountains, be careful! The snow could make things tricky, especially on those mountain passes overnight.

As for Denver and the Eastern Plains, no snow for you on Sunday, but it’s going to be windy. Those winds could make it feel way colder than the actual temperature.

In the city, it’ll be around 36 degrees, but with the wind, it’ll feel like it’s below freezing. And at night? Expect it to drop to 11 degrees, feeling more like 3 with the wind chill.

On the Eastern Plains, winds could hit 30 mph, making it feel like zero. So, bundle up if you’re heading out!

Looking ahead, another winter storm is on the way for Friday, bringing more chances for snow across Colorado, including Denver. Stay tuned!
