Pendle: So, it’s been a rough week for schools around here. A big snowstorm hit, and now, five days later, many are still closed. Can you believe it?

Schools in Pendle, Hyndburn, and Rossendale are still shut down. Some kids haven’t been back in days! The main issue? Ice and snow have made the paths super dangerous.

Plus, some schools are dealing with heating problems, which doesn’t help. This morning, it was a chilly minus 7 degrees Celsius. Yikes! Parents are being told to watch their step while dropping off the kids.

Here’s a quick rundown of the schools that are closed. In Darwen, St Paul’s CE Primary is out. Over in Hyndburn, several schools like Accrington Hyndburn Park and St John with St Augustine are also closed.

Pendle isn’t faring much better, with places like Barnoldswick Coates Lane and Barrowford School shut down. And in Rossendale, Northern Primary and Cribden House Community Special School are closed too.

Stay tuned for more updates as the situation changes!
