Royal expert reveals King Charles is heartbroken over his estrangement from Archie and Lilibet
London: King Charles is feeling pretty down about not having a relationship with his grandkids, Archie and Lilibet. A royal expert shared that he hardly knows them at all.
Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the US in 2020, things have been tense. The royal family has been pretty distant from them ever since.
At 76, Charles has only met Archie a few times when he was a baby and just once with Lilibet during the Queen’s Jubilee in June 2022. It’s a tough situation.
Royal commentator Jennie Bond mentioned that it must be really sad for the King to be so far away from his grandkids. She noted how special those early years are and how they fly by.
While Charles is eager to connect with them, he hasn’t seen Meghan much either. Bond suggested that maybe Harry and Meghan have been sending pictures to him, but who knows?
Interestingly, Thomas Markle, Meghan’s estranged father, has also expressed a desire to meet his grandkids. He’s been trying to reach out but hasn’t had much luck.
