Kim Kardashian is urging California’s governor to raise pay for incarcerated firefighters risking their lives during the LA fires

On her Instagram Stories, she highlighted that these firefighters are risking their lives, working 24-hour shifts on multiple fires, yet they earn just $1 an hour. This pay rate hasn’t changed since 1984, which is pretty wild when you think about it.
Kardashian pointed out that there was a plan to raise their pay to $5 an hour, but it fell through at the last minute. She’s really pushing for a change, saying it’s time for a governor to step up and give these heroes the pay they deserve.
She also expressed gratitude for the firefighters at the Ventura Training Center, which helps those who were incarcerated get back on their feet and find jobs in firefighting. Thanks to some new laws, these guys can even have their records cleared after serving.
Even though the Kardashians had to evacuate their homes due to the fires, they’re still giving back. Kim’s brand, Skims, has donated essentials to families affected by the wildfires, and they’ve provided meals to fire stations across LA. It’s great to see them supporting the community during such tough times.
