Lamar Odom shares why he reconnected with Khloé Kardashian after years apart
Los Angeles: Lamar Odom recently opened up about reuniting with his ex-wife, Khloé Kardashian, more than ten years after their split. He shared that a chance encounter with her friend Malika Haqq inspired him to reach out.
During an interview, Odom recalled running into Malika in Las Vegas around Super Bowl weekend. She suggested it was time for him to reconnect with Khloé, saying it had been years since they last saw each other.
Feeling encouraged, he showed up at Khloé’s home in Hidden Hills with roses, only to find a camera crew filming for the show. He took it in stride, saying he understood the situation.
When asked if they were back together, Odom clarified that they weren’t, but he would love to be friends. He emphasized that time changes people, and he believes he has changed for the better.
Khloé seemed to agree, mentioning in the trailer for the new season that she doesn’t recognize the person he used to be. However, her mom, Kris Jenner, expressed concern, noting that Lamar was once the love of Khloé’s life.
Khloé and Lamar’s whirlwind romance began in 2009, but they divorced four years later. Their divorce was paused when Lamar faced a serious health crisis in 2015, during which Khloé cared for him. They finalized their split in 2016.
Since then, Khloé has moved on with Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares two children. Despite the past, it seems there’s still a connection between her and Lamar.
